QUALIFICATIONS
I trained for 3 years at Mountview Academy Of Performing Arts in London.
Graduated in Acting And Musical Theatre.
Studied for 2 years under the tutorship of Anne-Marie Speed (vocal coach for Britain’s Got Talent and The West End) using the Jo Estill Model of voice training.
I am equipped with strong, versatile and expressive vocal skills and the benefit of a 3 Octave singing range and belt; enabling me to provide a wide range of VOICE OVER talents across varied genres.
I later gained a Bachelor Of Arts With Honours in Theatre And Performance With English.
I continue to cultivate and hone my skills, keeping up to date with current trends and practices, allowing me to offer ‘Industry Standard’ services.
Prior to my career in the Arts, I qualified and worked as a nurse. (A profession I am extremely proud of and still work within on occasion when duty calls.)
About Nicola Samuel-Stevens
I live in Torbay, in my native county of Devon in the South West of England; and have performed professionally in Theatre, Television and Film and have won awards for my work.
I am fluent in RP (Received Pronunciation- once termed ‘Queens English’) and Southern country accents come easy to me! As do many other regional accents, London (and Cockney), Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, Wales, Southern Ireland, to name a few.
I love to bring any story or copy/script to life with a cornucopia of character voices. I delight in discovering each individual character’s vocal personality and revealing what they have to say for themselves!
I also orate Non-Fiction and am frequently asked to read from The Bible, bringing clarity and understanding to even the most complex of scriptures. The opportunity to express my Christian Faith is always a joy.
